Privacy Policy — Zach Mumbauer Personal Automations

This policy covers a set of private, personal automation tools I build and operate for my own use. They are not distributed, not offered to the public, and have no user accounts. They run under my own credentials against Google accounts I own or administer.

Google Calendar. The tools read, create, update, and delete calendar events in order to:

• —Read existing entries so an event is not added twice
• —Create events for activities described in incoming newsletters and announcements
• —Update events when a correction to a date, time, or location is announced
• —Delete events when an activity is announced as cancelled

Gmail. The tools read messages in specific mailboxes I own, in order to:

• —Identify messages relevant to a task, and read their content and attachments to extract details such as event names, dates, times, locations, costs, and contacts
• —Apply labels to those messages to record which have already been processed

They do not send, reply to, forward, or permanently delete mail.

Google user data is used only to carry out the administrative task at hand — keeping a calendar accurate, and tracking which messages have been handled.

It is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, resale, credit assessment, or to train any machine learning or AI model.

These tools maintain no database. Google user data is processed in memory during a run and is not retained afterwards, with two exceptions, both held locally on my own computer:

• —Attachments (such as PDF newsletters and flyers), retained so a calendar entry can be traced back to the announcement that produced it
• —Run logs recording which messages were processed and which calendar entries were written

Neither is uploaded to any third-party service.

Google user data is not sold, rented, traded, or shared with any third party. It moves only between the Google account being administered and the software operating these tools, for the purposes described above.

Calendar entries created by these tools remain until removed from the calendar. Locally stored attachments and logs may be deleted at any time without affecting the calendars or mailboxes. To request deletion of any data associated with these tools, contact me at the address above.

These tools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Any change to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised date.
